SHANE LEWIS AND MINI COOPER COMING TO SOUTH FLORIDA

JUPITER, Fla. April 10, 2003 - Jupiter, Florida’s Shane Lewis will return to
the Sunshine State for round-two of the Grand-American Cup Street Stock
Series championship this weekend. Lewis will drive the #20 Lava Records/
Nuzzo Motorsports/Bodymotion Mini Cooper S as Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS)
plays host to the Grand-Am Cup Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13. Lewis will
be chasing his second top-ten finish in the Street Touring One (ST I) class
car at the three-hour race. He will co-drive with Tony Nuzzo in the
Nuzzo-owned and Bodymotion-prepared, British-built Mini. The car will carry
sponsorship from recording artists Hot Action Cop whose "Fever for the
Flaver" single is racing up the charts.

“We made a lot of progress with the Mini at Daytona in January,” remarked
Lewis. “Since then, the team has been developing new parts, making minor and
major adjustments, all trying to get us just a few tenths quicker. The Nuzzo
team is really dedicated to making this Mini Cooper S a success on the track
and, as a driver, that is what gets you excited to work for a team. I am
looking forward to getting back in the car and seeing where we are now.
We’ve come a long way since Daytona but, I am sure our other competitors
have too.”

Lewis and Nuzzo drove to tenth in the North American race debut of the Mini
Cooper on January 31st at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). The two-car
Nuzzo effort expects Homestead-Miami to be a more competitive track for the
car than the high-speed venue at Daytona Beach.

“Homestead has a tighter infield and less banking than Daytona,” offered
Lewis who has raced and instructed at Homestead-Miami numerous times. “So, I
think it will be a more competitive track for the Mini than Daytona was.
Don’t get me wrong, the Mini is a great car but, the reality check for us is
that our competition has a whole lot more power than we do. So, the tighter,
smaller tracks are better for us. The places where we can use this car’s
best traits, like its amazing handling, is where we will be able to show how
good the car and the team can be if we get a few breaks with horsepower.”

Shane Lewis is the 1998 Professional Sports Car Racing Rising Star award
winner and is a multiple race winner in IMSA, SCCA Pro and Grand-Am
sanctioned events. In 2002, he competed in the GS I and GS II classes of the
Grand-Am Cup winning overall at Phoenix and in-class twice, including at the
Daytona season-finale. The popular Lewis recently signed to race for ACEMCO
Motorsports in a Ferrari 360 Modena in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, his third
visit to the classic race. He is also a regular on the American Le Mans
Series where he has earned multiple podiums and top-five finishes.
